Network/Telephony Engineers
Duties and Responsibilities:
Designs and supports VoIP infrastructure and its associated software including: IP-PBXs, Call-Management systems, Voice mail, Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) and Interactive Voice Response (IVRs).
Integration, implementation of voice/data communication technologies, configuration of customer solutions over the core network infrastructure including: the IP-VPN, IP infrastructure, Wide Area Network encompassing a broad range of product & services for Voice, Data, Transmission, Video & Connectivity solutions.
Planning network design, configuration, installation, testing, troubleshooting, integration, performance monitoring, maintenance, enhancement, security management and support of existing legacy telephony equipment and IP PBX’s from Teltronics or other comparable vendors.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Applicant must have at least B.Sc/HND in Electronics, Telecommunications or similar qualification with at least 2+ years experience in data networking technologies and IP environment, converged communications including: voice services, data and video, messaging services, such as voicemail and e-mail.
Must have advanced knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting and routing protocols with good understanding of skilled based routing in contact center enviroment (Omniworks, ACD).
Must be familiar with of VoIP, Data Networks, WAN, Cisco TCP/IP, Teltonics Telephony Systems (Legacy, VoIP) and other comparable vendors, IP-PBX, SIP, H.323, VoIP QoS, Security Tools (router-based VPN, firewalls and encryption technologies), and Power over Ethernet (PoE) Technology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Essential Skill in Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio presentation is important.
