Access Bank staff caught filming female colleagues, over 400 explicit videos found

Stephen Ejezie, a former staff of Access Bank, has been implicated in a shocking scandal involving the secret recording of explicit videos of his female colleagues.

Ejezie, who worked at the bank’s Oniru branch in Lagos State, allegedly installed hidden cameras in the women’s restroom and amassed over 400 compromising videos.

The scandal unraveled on Wednesday, April 24, when Ejezie was caught around 1:30 a.m. attempting to film a female colleague who was bathing. He had reportedly sneaked into the ladies’ restroom to set up his camera, hiding in an adjacent stall.

His actions were exposed when a female staff noticed a phone pointed at her from the neighbouring stall and raised an alarm. Confronted by co-workers, Ejezie struggled to explain his presence and actions.

Following the incident, Access Bank swiftly terminated Ejezie’s employment and facilitated his arrest. A search of his residence by authorities uncovered hundreds of additional explicit videos, all allegedly recorded without consent.

He reportedly claimed ignorance about how he ended up in the ladies restroom but struggled to explain why he was shooting videos. Although Ejezie was initially detained, he has since been released.

Insiders at the bank’s contact center, which operates on a 24-hour shift schedule, revealed that staff often bath and perform personal routines on-site, making the breach even more egregious.

Some employees fear the bank might avoid pressing formal charges to protect its public image, particularly since many affected staff are contract workers.

“Maybe because we are contract staff, the bank doesn’t want to escalate it,” an employee who spoke on condition of anonymity remarked.

Some of the victims are demanding full accountability and justice for the gross invasion of their privacy.
