CCII congratulates Ilaji boss Dotun Sanusi on elevation to Ajia Olubadan

 


The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) has congratulated the Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Engr. Dotun Sanusi, on his elevation and installation as the new Ajia Olubadan of Ibadan land.

In a statement issued on Friday by the council’s Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Olomide, CCII President-General, Chief Sulaimon Ajeniyi Ajewole, described Sanusi’s chieftaincy title as a well-deserved honour and a recognition of his remarkable contributions to the socio-economic development of Ibadan land.

The CCII President-General praised Sanusi for his continuous investments community development, noting that his elevation to the revered Ajia Olubadan title aligns with the tradition of honouring individuals who have demonstrated unwavering commitment to the progress of the ancient city.


“Engr. Dotun Sanusi has consistently shown a deep love for Ibadan through his numerous developmental strides. His installation as Ajia Olubadan is both a honour to him and a call to even greater service,” he said.

The installation ceremony was held at Olubadan’s palace in Oke Aremo and was performed by the Olubadan of Ibadan land, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I.

CCII further expressed optimism that Sanusi’s new traditional role would provide him with a stronger platform to contribute more meaningfully to the cultural heritage and unity of Ibadan land.
